Now that our sweet baby Reign is 7 weeks old, I thought I’d share a post on the newborn essentials that we are actually using. Baby registries can be incredibly overwhelming (especially for first time mama’s like myself) and I had no idea what we would actually need and we wanted to keep it minimal for the first couple of months. Vibrating Bouncer: This bouncer is so bright and allows our babe to sit along side us while we eat dinner or while we are playing on the floor with big bro! Motherhood has caused me to rethink what I want to get out of exercise, if I want to exercise I will walk or jog with my baby in the stroller or workout at home with a friend These Femme Luxe pieces really made me feel confident in my new skin, I love the tie front on the crop top and the organza mesh sleeves add a unique detail to it, it can be dressed up or down and the loungewear sets are always so comfortable and stylish. I love the fleece lining and cuff bottom on the joggers and the ribbed line detail on the sweater and as I have mentioned previously the quality is amazing and they are affordable.

The Covid pandemic caused a tremendous amount of turmoil and created uncertainty and doubt around what labor and delivery would look like for us and what our birth plan looked like. In the months leading up to my due date I began exploring birthing options and plans, this allowed me to learn what it meant to get an epidural; side effects, the use of other drugs to speed up contractions, higher risk of c-section and the list goes on. So when the moment came, and the doctor asked me if I wanted to change my mind and get the epidural as this was my last chance, the doctor warned “there could be 5 more hours of contractions like this I am glad I got the epidural at the end because as the contractions got stronger and longer, they kept making my sons heartbeat dip by compressing his umbilical cord… at 9.5cm dilated my doctor made the call for me to start pushing because they couldn’t stabilize his heartbeat and if we waited any longer he could have been in more distress or I would have had to have an emergency C-section, which if you know me you would know I was strictly against having a C-section and was terrified it would come to that.

Once you get into the relationship, it can then be pretty easy to drift a little in terms of your love and commitment. You may have found that you’re at this particular stage in terms of your relationship and you’d like to keep things going. There are millions of couples around the world who have the same routine every single day and do not branch out – this can kill the love between the two and reveal a pretty toxic relationship. Your sexual relationship doesn’t have to be the most dynamic or exciting, but it’s such an important part of the connection between the two of you.

If you want to create a nice atmosphere in your kitchen or your living room without using lots of electricity on a lamp or light – you could consider fitting some solar powered fairy lights around the room. During the day you can place the sensor next to your window to trap in light, and in the evening when the light is gone they will come on and offer you a soft glow in the room while you watch TV and enjoy your evening. It takes a lot to energy to bring water to your home and to warm it up so make sure that you consider turning off the tap to save some money and energy. There will be a lot of different light fittings around your home which you might have never changed or updated and now is a great time for you to make the change to something that is more energy efficient and will save you money.

We settled on a theme right around the gender reveal because we knew we wanted to keep it neutral and not too blue (or pink) depending on gender. The gender reveal canvas which is now hung above the crib was the centerpiece to the nursery theme (neutrals, stars, sun and clouds) and it would have worked for both a boy or girl. We kept things neutral with pops of blue and yellow throughout to add some dimension to the room. The story behind the canvas: The canvas is the exact same one from the gender reveal, the blue splatter is the paint from the balloon in which we found out we were having a boy and the hole is still in tact from the arrow that shot the balloon.

I recently came across this book club subscription box for kids and it is unlike the other – their boxes inspire children aged 5 to 10 to learn about being kind and doing good for people, communities, animals & the environment through activities, books and events. After recognizing a noticeable gap in the marketplace for resources that teach social good in younger children, she decided to tackle the problem head on, creating the interactive learning program we now know as For Purpose Kids. We celebrated baby boy on November 22, 2020 through an intimate brunch with close family and friends at our house. I made this hot air balloon using a basket, broom handles and lots of balloons along with the cute elephant stuffy! Since we opted for a brunch theme we added this cute “mom-osa bar” and it was a huge hit! I added some gold and blue colored candies to the jars and hand dipped some marshmallows in blue chocolate.
