Finding the time to cook good, healthy meals can be kinda hard as a college student! For Christmas my sophomore year of college, my grandparents gave me an Instant Pot, which has made all the difference in my college cooking! Since I wake up so early, I’m usually crawling into bed around 10pm (such a grandma, I know). But I’ve found that prioritizing sleep REALLY helps me feel my best and feel ready to take on each day. Whenever I have a week of little sleep, I can definitely tell the difference in my mood and the amount of work I’m able to get done. Breakfasts and lunches are pretty easy; I usually grab protein bar on the way out the door and pack a sandwich and some fruit for my lunch.

The first hour of posting on Instagram is important because Instagram detects that if it’s getting x amount of engagement in that first hour and people viewing your post; It’s worthy of being shown to others and will then be able to be posted to a wider audience via Instagrams explore page. This is the new way of doing things and making positivity out of the madness in the world today and keeping inspiration aside from sabotaging your artistry and limiting yourself as a musician when touring isn’t an option after working on your proudest projects. Outlets that produce interviews to showcase new and upcoming artists enjoy hosting interviews where listeners can do streams to look back on it and are the safest way during this time to connecting this way from the comfort of your home, studio, or even while traveling to keep artists up to date. For smaller and newer artists especially that are used to doing things like going on stage to showing off their music projects at local bars or karaoke nights, check out ways that you’re able to pull off a venue event for your projects while also keeping people safe by spreading out your audience having ceratin rows and seats off limits for social distancing purposes as well as wearing masks.

Tiktok has been great to exponentially reach a larger audience and make new things become trending as influencers on TikTok are known for doing ranges of dancing to the latest songs and putting together challenges which also transfers over to other platforms like IG. What makes this app effective for growing a brand and networking is that it’s not like Instagram where you are just posting photos and connecting with a like and comment for a second and moving on, but you can authentically engage by speaking to others, representing your brand by presenting it in the audio chats and build relationships.
