Highlights
  • The Ultimate Ski Trip Packing Guide

Find yourself a pair of warm snow boots that keep your feet dry + have a good grip. IDC how cold it might be outside, bring 1-2 t-shirts to lounge in…cold outside means blazing hot inside trying to stay warm • // can be electric or just a mini one, either way, your body will thank you after a long day on the slopes • makes it easy to stay hydrated on the slopes! I usually find some great stuff at: Yes it will take some time and some digging to find great pieces for your ski trip, but I LOVE a good deal and you will have more money to spend on important things (like food and alcohol 😉)

  • An Insider's Guide to Mongolia · Speck on the Globe

the items you’ll use in places like the western province can be beneficial for other parts of your trip. When you are going to a remote location like some of the provinces of Mongolia, there are a few things you want to be prepared for to make your trip as environmentally conscious as possible. I wanted to learn more about some of the unique nomadic ethnic tribes in the western provinces, to experience a day with the famed eagle hunters of the steppe and I also wanted to experience the vast and varying landscapes of the country, from the glacial hikes to desert excursions. A majority of the animals you’ll interact with on your Mongolia trip are draft animals, or domestic working animals.

  • Black Owned in the Burgh: Supporting Black Businesses in Pittsburgh

I’ve compiled a list of Black owned businesses and ways to support Black Pittsburgh and hopefully I can continue to add to this as I dive deeper into our diverse city. While there are some phenomenal soul food restaurants here in the Burgh, Black owned restaurants are more than just soul food here in Pittsburgh. The owner, Chef Jackie Page-Heidelberg has also been involved in 412 Rescue, a non-profit that focuses on preventing food waste while providing healthy food to those with barriers to food access. Visit the Carnegie Museum of Art and explore the Teenie Harris Archives, one of the largest collections of the black urban experience from the 1930’s through the 1970’s.

  • An Honest Proper Wild Review : Natural Energy Shots for Every Type of Person

When I’m not traveling the world, attending networking events or creating content, I’m running a full-time business behind closed doors. I like to think of myself as having a natural high on life, but it’s safe to say that we could all use a little extra help So when I had the opportunity to try out the natural energy shots from Proper Wild, I thought this would be a great time to try out some new fuel for us and give it a proper review. Maybe you’re like me, a sluggish entrepreneur with 10000 things on their plate and needs that extra energy and brain boost to fuel your life.

  • 20 Photos That Will Make You Want To Visit Grand Cayman

20 Photos That Will Make You Want To Visit Grand Cayman Grand Cayman seems to be one of the most underrated islands in the Caribbean. • Top 10 Things To Do in Muscat Oman · Speck on the Globe

The word Muscat means ‘anchorage’ and this city was just that, an anchor for the While you can’t access every fort because of their age and accessibility, it is a beautiful reminder of the ancient ramparts as well as an iconic symbol of prominent old world power. Travel Tip: If I’m starting and returning to the same location during my trip in the same location, I’ll often book two different style places at the beginning and end to get a better idea for the variety of accommodations in one location. Oman, much like many places in the Middle East may be religious and culturally conservative, but they can be in other ways simultaneously modern and progressive. I think it is important to change the narrative when speaking about places like the Middle East, especially for those who haven’t visited and may have a preconceived notion about the region.

  • Visiting Latvia: The Best Day Trips from Riga · Speck on the Globe

Starting a trip in Latvia and then taking day trips from Riga is an ideal way to get acquainted with the Baltic region. While I think I could spend most of my time strictly exploring Riga, there are many day trips from Riga that show the true beauty and history of Latvia and the rest of the Baltic nations. The people’s movement didn’t make a major impact until the late 1980’s, most recognized by the ‘Baltic Way’, where a 2 million person peace protest that began in a square in Lithuania and created a hand to hand chain of people that spanned over 400 miles through all three countries as a symbol of freedom for its citizens. Picking a center point and taking day trips from Riga is a way to cut down on your carbon footprint by not jumping from city to city so quickly.

  • A Willamette Valley Weekend: Getting Eco-Friendly in Oregon Wine Country

The Willamette Valley is 19,000 acres of wine country, running 150 miles south of Portland following the Willamette River. There are hundreds of wineries in the Willamette Valley, making up about 2/3 of all the wineries in Oregon. Willamette Valley Vineyards are some of the top wine producers in the US, and the major producer of Pinot Noir, although recently Oregonian Chardonnay is slowly catching up with the fan favorite. A creative way to bring farm to table to high end dining, the Jory’s fresh and local approach makes for a delicious philosophy.
