Happy Little Chaos Created by Happy Little Chaos OCTOBER 18, 2019

We all know those moms who rule Instagram. They have their floppy hats, boots on, sparkling house, and perfectly posed kids. That's not us. We probably have at least 2 stains on our clothes at any given time, there's more clutter and laundry than you care to admit, and if you can get a hard (and most likely horrifying) CHEESE smile out of your kid, then you're winning. Let's come together and support the less than perfect.

Highlights
  • Dining Room Mood Board

They feel confused and make me even more stressed about the messes that grow in them so, as I’ve done with all the other rooms in the house thus far, I made a mood board for inspiration and am ready to pull the trigger on almost all the items. Here’s what I’m thinking and my dining room mood board that has a moody neutral feel. Aside from the girls’ rooms, which I’m still trying to tie into the feel of the home with relative colors, most of this house will be moody grays, creams, tans, and blacks. And here’s the same dining room mood board with my 2nd table choice: I’m beginning to wonder how it’ll all turn out… My favorite chairs are not available until September and my initial table pick was going to cost $250 to ship…

  • Annual Inspections For Your Home

that’s why you should do an inspection at least once a year to ensure that there are no leakages that could cause severe damage to the house Also essential to daily living in your home, your plumbing should be regularly maintained in order to ensure smooth sailing for your home’s water supply and drainage. A good time to check your plumbing each year is before the winter – pipes that are cracked or faulty can lead to pipe bursts in the winter when icy conditions cause extra strain on the plumbing lines. These annual inspections are not only crucial to ensure your house functions safely and efficiently, but you’ll feel more rest assured knowing that you’ve done everything you can to keep you and your family safe while living in your home.

  • Smores Kit New Neighbor Gift

I found a couple of ideas on Pinterest that were pretty cool, but I found one specifically that I wanted to base mine on. First, you obviously will need marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate, so I just started grabbing a couple each time I ran to the store. So I put the marshmallows in a clear treat box (also found in the party section), tied up three Hershey bars, and purchased the “snack” pack of graham crackers so they came in these cute little sets! Each gift box got three candy bars, two boxes of marshmallows, two sets of graham crackers, and some little snacks for the kiddos!

  • Sensational DIY Air Purifiers You Can Make At Home

Then gently remove the vents in your home, place the filter behind them strategically (either gluing or taping it into position) and then replace the grille. Just be sure to choose a filter that blocks out the types of particles likely to cause pollution in your home. These particles then get trapped in the filter on the interior water feature, ready for you to dispose of, as and when you please. As the fan pulls air into itself, it will pass through the HEPA filter which will collect all the fine particles you don’t want, purifying the interior air.

  • Ways To Make Your Home Environmentally-Friendly

The benefits of planting a garden mean you will have more oxygen around your immediate area car which will benefit your health, but it’s a fantastic thing for you and the family to do together. You can start small by planting a herb garden, and gradually diversify your efforts and start square-foot gardening. If you are drinking a lot of water, a reusable water bottle will make a big difference. It’s not always feasible, but if you’ve got clothes that need a basic wash and are not covered in stains, washing your laundry in cold water will help you to save on your energy bill.

  • Designing Magical Community Spaces : 5 Pitches for Your Town

This is a great way for you to spend time with your little ones outdoors while also learning all about planting and growing vegetables. If there is an open field or space that has not been in use for a while, it might be the right time to give it a new purpose and the perfect place for new community spaces. Encouraging families and kids to spend time there and exercising outdoors is a great way to repurpose an unused space and promote a healthier lifestyle. Make sure that your local area provides enough tables, chairs, toilets, and benches for every family to enjoy an entire day outdoors – without having to go home to find comfort!

  • Gnomes to invade Garfield Conservatory :: CityMoms Report

Although it’s not a short drive for us, our family visited over the weekend and really enjoyed being able to explore this little gem in Indianapolis. We were excited to visit Gnome Away From Home, the Garfield Conservatory’s annual winter display of garden gnomes and The entire display takes about 25-40 min to walk around depending on how fast you search or how much you read about the plant life around you. Indy Parks sent over already have excited for a repeat visit: So hurry to see Gnome Away From Home at Garfield Conservatory before the gnomes head on out: This display is sure to put a smile on your face and is the perfect time to spend with the family!

  • DIY Shamrock Necklace with Hot Glue

Once it’s filled up to your desired thickness, you can set it in the freezer for a short while to set. Grab your favorite green nail polish (or paint even) and paint all over the shape. Once everything is dry, add some glue dabs to the back top part of the shamrock where you’ll attach your ribbon. This DIY shamrock necklace is just too cute not to try and so easy to make by not breaking the bank!

  • Smart Advice for a Smooth Running Kitchen

It’s not only where you cook and prepare food, but it’s also often a place to eat, somewhere for the kids to do their homework, or a space to stand and chat. This can include things like making sure you can find what you need or there’s enough space for everyone to use the kitchen as they wish. Zoning can help you to save time as well as space by giving you one area to prepare food, one area to cook, and another for tidying and cleaning. Your kitchen appliances can help to make many things a lot easier, whether it’s washing the dishes or heating things up.

  • Shopping for Busy Moms

Shopping for busy moms is so hard – with this, there’s no more dragging the kids, finding time, or crying in the dressing room! First, just log into Trendsend, create a little account (click here for 20% off your first box & purchase), answer a few questions and then wait patiently for your box to arrive. And ended up keeping the white tee and shorts, but also am keeping an eye on the jacket and waiting for another 10lbs to drop before I get those jeans that felt seriously like butta! I think you can even return them to a local Evereve store if you run short on time during your return window!
