18 Scary Travel Stories From Haunted Hotels To Creepy Cabins

From haunted hotels to unexplainable sounds to creepy sightings, the following true travel stories all have one thing in common: They’ll make your hair stand on end — and will have you packing a nightlight next time you’re off on a trip. When it comes to creepy road trip stories and travel horror stories, this is by far my most terrifying. The next morning, as we were buying bread in town for breakfast, we told the story to the baker and he told us there have been many creepy stories of spirits making themselves feel known in the forest. They told me that it was probably a mountain lion but that didn’t explain the chain, or the fact that it sounded exactly like a human walking and running.

21 Travel Horror Stories You'll Be Glad You're Not Telling

It’s a funny travel story when I talk about it now, although at the time I could already picture YouTube videos of the camel picking me up by my head and tossing me around like doll. I was so excited to finally get to Koh Tao in Thailand and enjoy some time on the beach; however, my time on this island actually turned out to be one of my worst and most itchy travel memories. You are able to visit the park in your own car or with a tour guide on a 4-by- 4; however it’s best to go with a tour guide, as it’s the safest way One of my worst travel stories is from a truly terrible night that happened when we were backpacking through Vietnam and we decided to take an overnight 15-hour bus ride to get to our next destination.

31 Uniquely New York Experiences That Shouldn't Be Missed

From the skyscrapers of Manhattan to the shores of Queens, there are few places on earth quite like New York City. Though City Hall Station is no longer an official stop on the New York City Subway, it’s still a popular destination for both tourists and locals. It’s a City starring iconic New Yorker Fran Lebowitz, this miniature model of New York City was originally built for the 1964 World’s Fair. 12 India Travel Stories From The Crazy To The Inspiring

Despite this being one of my more embarrassing travel stories, it wasn’t long before most of the other passengers were mad at me because the air conditioning wouldn’t work with the windows up. On the morning of August 3rd, 2019, after spending the past five days falling in love with the culinary and temple delights of Amritsar, we were finally ready to leave incredible India and cross the Wagah Border that separates the Indian city of Amritsar from the Pakistani city of Lahore. While accustomed to tourists visiting the Wagah Border to see the famous daily border closing ceremony, it seemed to be the first time he’d encountered riders looking to actually be left at the border. It’s hard to believe I started in Delhi, almost afraid to leave my hotel room, and finished in Varanasi, feeling like I could travel anywhere solo.

52 Most Instagrammable Places in New York City

Located above one of the tiniest streets in the city, this small pedestrian bridge connects two classic brick buildings in Tribeca and gives you a sense of what the city looked like in the late 1800s for a taste of old New York. Seen as a “quintessential symbol of New York City,” the Flatiron Building’s unique design makes it a perfect spot for classic NYC photos. One of NYC’s latest and greatest luxury hotels, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge’s location at Brooklyn Bridge Park makes it the perfect place to capture the Lower Manhattan skyline in style. The Coney Art Walls, an outdoor museum of colorful murals and street art on Stillwell Avenue, are also a favorite among New York City Instagramers.

Exploring The Culture Of Parsi Cafes In Mumbai, India

As India’s financial hub, Mumbai showcases skyscrapers, lively markets, and the country’s best hotels and restaurants — which are now as much a draw as popular sites like the Taj Mahal Palace and the Gateway of India. And by this I mean an Irani cafe, or Parsi cafe, in Mumbai. Today, Britannia has become one of Mumbai’s most sought-after eateries, and with that, it helped to create a distinct cafe culture in Mumbai. Not To Be Missed Another historic place that I have grown fond of is Kyani & Co. Known as Mumbai’s oldest cafe dating back to 1904, today it’s frequented by those in love with everything old and authentic.

17 Inspiring Travel Experience Stories About Life-Changing Trips

You’ll hear about travelers embarking on sacred pilgrimages, growing after a first solo female travel trip, deeply connecting with locals on the road, and getting out of their comfort zones in ways that completely alter the course of their life. I’d felt a little energy movement during my year of online practice, but during that week on The Blue Mountain, my body began to really buzz with Qi — life force energy — as I Lifted the Sky, stood in Wuji Stance, and practiced Shooting Arrows. But I also knew that I wanted my mom to live on through me and that I didn’t want to live a life where the haunting phrases And after my trip to Rome, I finally knew that my mom would always be there because she had forever changed my life in the best possible way.

21 Best Views In NYC At Night To Take In A Manhattan Skyline View

Governors Island may get all the love when it comes to New York City island parks, but Randall’s Island — sandwiched between Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx — offers some of the best views in the city year-round. Situated right under the 59th Street Bridge, Queensbridge Park offers great views of Upper Manhattan and Roosevelt Island as well as the mighty East River. While you’re on the Brooklyn side of the bridge, spend some time in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which may just offer the best free view of the NYC skyline. While not in NYC itself, this waterfront park offers incredible views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island, and is also home to the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal.

26 Amazing Hotels In The UK With Private Hot Tubs

That being said, if you’re looking for a London hotel with a private hot tub, you’ll want to book their Westminster Penthouse Suite. If you’re searching for places to stay with private hot tubs in the UK, then you’ll want to book a 2- or 3-bedroom lodge with a hot tub. While inside you’ll find amenities like a rain shower, standalone tub, fireplace, dedicated workspace, and 50″ Smart TV, the highlight is stepping through the French doors onto the terrace to enjoy garden views and a soak in your own private hot tub. The highlight for those searching for hotels with private hot tubs in Scotland is, of course, the al fresco outdoor hot tub overlooking the countryside — including the lovely River Forth, known for its romantic rail and road bridges.
