Highlights
  • Remembering the Titans: A Glance Back at Definitive Moments in Tennessee History

Many agree that the most definitive moment in Tennessee Titans history is the "Music City Miracle" in the 1999 AFC Wild Card round. The Titans had pulled off a playoff berth in Cinderella fashion and were left with 15 seconds to beat the Bills and keep their season alive. This moment was ranked the fourth-greatest play in NFL history, and it has been arguably the most prolific 15 seconds of Titans football. I like to think that every NFL fan that watched this game remembers exactly where they were when they watched Henry run for his signature 99-yard touchdown in 2018.

  • Will Jadeveon Clowney Wear Two-Toned Blue in 2020?

Titans fans have been eagerly refreshing their social media feeds for weeks in the hopes of seeing Jadeveon Clowney sign with their team. In fact, ESPN's Diana Russel reported that "...he is just not in a hurry to sign."Clowney's original asking price was $20 million a year, but he promptly dropped it to 17 million after he had been on the market for three weeks. According to CBS Sports's Jordan Dajani, "Both the Seahawks and Titans are two teams who believe they may be just one pass rusher away from a Super Bowl appearance, and Clowney is refusing to again lower his price tag."With each day that extends this free-agency circus, I can't help but wonder if "Clowney Gate" is worth Jon Robinson's time. According to Sports Illustrated, he told Houston HC Bill O'Brien, "'Find me a team that can win, and I'll sign the damn tender.

  • Breaking Down the NFL's Virtual Offseason Program & What it Could Mean for Rookies

Experienced players like Kevin Byard already have had a chance to become acclimated with their organizations' culture. While the virtual program is still a viable alternative, in-person interaction is still how rookies traditionally become familiarized with the system. Only time can tell how the COVID-19 pandemic will affect rookie development, and this draft class will have to work extra hard in order to keep up. Safety Kevin Byard even seems to be having fun: "Obviously, we can't actually be in the room together, but we're still cracking jokes and stuff like that.

  • Titans 2020 Draft: "In JRob We Trust"

Titans fans are used to seeing their team pick earlier each round, so to witness their general manager have to make moves amongst the best teams in the league was new territory. Just look at this tweet that shows Fulton's stats against the top receivers in college football: Kristian Fulton vs Tee Higgins, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III (@PFF_College) 11 targets 3 catches 39 yards 0 TDs 3 pass breakups Fulton is easily a top 15 pick. pic.twitter.com/sofpodBZt1 Last season, the Titans were somewhat lacking in the kick returning game, but Evans's outstanding ability to run returns will be yet another aid to the team. Evans's speedy style will most likely complement Derrick Henry's power-running approach, and his savvy kick return game will give fans another reason to cheer.

  • Drafting in Quarantine: A Look at JRob's War Room

According to Sports Illustrated, history shows that running backs who accumulate over 300 handles in one season end up regressing significantly the following year. Murray experienced a similar fate, acquiring a mere 702 yards in 2015 after touching the ball a whopping 392 times in 2014 (Avery Yang, Sports Illusrated, 2020). There's no question that the kind of reliance on the running back position that was used by the Titans last season could take a heavy toll on Henry's performance in the near future. Some great prospects to look out for are Ke'Shawn Vaugn (RB, Vanderbilt), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB, LSU), and Cam Akers (RB, Florida State).

  • The Titans and Tom Brady Ride the Media Tide

Even if the Titans do not end up signing Brady, I believe that they still ended up gaining a lot of crucial exposure that will be helpful going forward. Established media outlets have been prompted to talk about all of the Titans' viable weapons that Brady would have at his disposal if he were to be signed. Hence, I think that the whole Brady "circus" is a huge positive for the Titans going forward, especially when considering their small-market status. Most notably, however, mainstream sports media outlets have been participating in the conversation for weeks.

  • Whatever Happened to "Through Thick and Thin?"

In fact, it looked as if the 2-2 Tennessee Titans were playing an away game on their own turf. According to A to Z Sports Nashville, NFL buffs from all over are flocking to visit, and Titans fans know about this demand. According to A to Z Sports Nashville, NFL buffs from all over are flocking to visit, and Titans fans know about this demand. Moving forward, the Titans franchise could benefit from a bit of rebranding to amplify the team's influence within the city of Nashville.

  • Who Will be Behind Center in 2020?

Titans fans have been on the edge of their seats waiting for GM John Robinson to choose a quarterback this offseason. Signing Ryan Tannehill again would be a viable option, but there have been lots of rumors about the possibility of Robinson welcoming Tom Brady into the lineup. Fans even spotted the quarterback FaceTiming Mike Vrabel at a Syracuse game . While Tom Brady is not my favorite athlete in the world, I think it is important for Titans fans to support the franchise no matter who ends up being behind center.

  • Will the Titans Gain More Media Attention After their 2020 Playoff Run?

For instance, if you watch this NFL Playoff 2020 commercial , you'll notice that Titans two-toned blue only appears once throughout the clip for only about a second towards the very end. To put things in perspective, the Ravens franchise (including players, fans, and its logo) racked up four scenes in this commercial alone. Of course, large-market teams such as the Ravens and the 49ers usually gain much more national exposure than small-market teams such as the Titans and the Chargers. Due to the franchise's small-market structure, the NFL is less likely to be interested in promoting it no matter how well the team seems to be doing.

  • Starting Ryan Tannehill May Have Been the Most Important Move by Coach Mike Vrabel This Season, but Which Decision Takes Second Place?

While starting Ryan Tannehill easily takes first place when ranking Vrabel's moves this year, there is one definitive choice that I believe should be given the silver medal. Let's rewind back to Week 16: the team was about to go head to head with the Saints in a game that was virtually meaningless towards their playoff hopes. Once the team began its playoff run, Henry also was able to virtually carry the team to two shocking playoff wins against the Patriots and the Ravens, allowing the Titans to make it to the AFC Championship. Hence, there is no doubt in my mind that Mike Vrabel's decision to let Derrick Henry rest in week 16 ranks second only to starting Ryan Tannehill in the beginning of the season.
