I’ve always wanted to start a blog and share stories about my life and experiences as not only a single parent but as an individual. My life has been challenging, I was recently diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety in which I finally seemed help after this past year I knew from the start I needed to definitely put my story out there because I know I can reach someone who is going through the same if not similar. More so the reasons and topics of behind me becoming a single mom, being in abusive relationships and how I survived and got out of them, surviving domestic violence, overcoming self-harm, breaking the stigma within my family, going back to the dating scene as a parent, returning to school as a parent and being the first in my family, sex (random I know!) and much more.

I started Teen Mom NYC as a place to share my experiences of becoming pregnant and a parents at the age of 15, share the experiences of other pregnant and parenting young people, and share helpful resources for pregnant and parenting young people. I've planned and hosted two events for pregnant and parenting young people, spoken at schools and conferences, and hosted giveaways. I've grown in age and feel strange writing about the lives of pregnant and parenting young people today because that is no longer my experience today. After thinking about it I know that opening this space up for other pregnant and parenting young people to share their experiences, write about topics they're passionate about, and possibly have this space open up doors of opportunity for them is what I want to do with Teen Mom NYC.
