It’s a cotton linen blend that’s very breathable and appropriate for that cooler spring weather when you want to be casual and comfortable. It has a boxier cropped fit that’s generally not a flattering look on me, but this one hits at just the right cropped length aka isn’t so short that I feel uncomfortable about lifting my arms and flashing belly button. It’s like an entire mouth massage with its intense vibrations that naturally keep me from applying too much pressure, and while I can’t scientifically prove that my teeth are cleaner, they feel that way. I’m very into ASMR which apparently is an interest people hide because it’s easily misunderstood but whatever you should like what you like, and I often watch those types of videos on YouTube, but I’m also a fan of JennaMarbles and through her I found DouTube, a plant expert who shared his reaction to her recent plant tour video.
Since then, I’ve tasted the unparalleled joy of having a wardrobe consisting only of pieces I love and actually wear, and I intend on keeping it that way forever. The flaw here is that clothing doesn’t last forever, and sometimes neither do tastes, where one year you can be in love with a sweater and the next year you’ll wonder why you even got it. All of that is to say that when I approach a wardrobe refresh before a new season, I always start with looking through all the clothing from the previous season and identifying if there was anything I didn’t wear, then I proceed to remove likely all of them. Looking back through my fall/winter clothing, there were a bunch of things I didn’t touch at all that ranged in reasons including they didn’t fit right anymore, they were old and in rough shape, or it wasn’t something I would buy if I saw it in a shop today
In fact, these are pretty time consuming, where after I read the instructions for the first time and saw the minimum 24 hour resting period, I didn’t even want to try the recipe because what’s the point if I can’t have cookies now? But after reading repeatedly about how those 24 hours are essential to deepening the flavor and creating the exceptionally chewy but firm texture for what is considered by many the best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever, I made an exception to my impatient “no waiting” rule. The original recipe doesn’t mention anything about letting the chilled dough sit out a bit at room temperature before scooping which confounds me because very chilled dough straight out of the fridge is rock solid and will break whatever you’re trying to scoop it with. The original recipe calls for chocolate discs from Jacques Torres himself, but I tried to see how less splurge-y options would work out and between chocolate chips and a roughly chopped giant chocolate bar, I much more prefer the roughly chopped chocolate for this.
We’ve been picky and stubborn about what we’re looking for but without the budget we’d need for it all, which led to a lot of frustrations because we didn’t like any of the houses we looked at. Not knowing if or when we’d be moving, I’ve held off on updating and using our current space to live most comfortably and joyfully in it, and now it’s been almost two years of holding off on that… like I’ve been stuck in a transitional period that didn’t really exist. Frankly, I’ve regarded finding a house as a key to getting myself out of this slump, the answer to fulfilling the ideas and dreams I’ve been saving, and the door to moving on to the next stage of our lives that I’m so eager for, so it’s no wonder There’s no reason why life can’t move on from here, and it’s an added bonus that we’re even in a position to consider buying a house, which I could do a much better job of being grateful for.
