ITA International has promoted Katelyn Melo Byrd to Chief of Growth and Amber Lempke to Chief People Officer, effective April 1. Byrd, who previously served as Chief People Officer, will now be responsible for creating strategies to identify new customer solutions and drive business growth to meet and exceed company goals. The promotion of highly experienced, well-qualified and proven leaders from within ITA is a significant element of our growth strategy,” said Mike Melo, chief executive officer, ITA. Before joining ITA in 2019, Lempke was a member of the Senior Executive Service and held multiple leadership roles in public service, most recently as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the U.S. Census Bureau.
ITA International (ITA) announced it has selected retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Tom Moore to join the company’s Board of Advisors, effective Dec. 1. As NAVSEA Commander, he was responsible for leading a global workforce of more than 74,000 military and civilian personnel accountable for the development, delivery and maintenance of the U.S. Navy’s ships, submarines and systems. He also holds a degree in information systems management from George Washington University and a master’s and an engineer’s degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tom’s years of success with the Navy give him the ability to bring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of what our government customers need and want,” said Mike Melo, chief executive officer, ITA.

For a company to be eligible for the award, it has to be headquartered in the Hampton Roads area and founded prior to fiscal year 2017, realized gross revenue of at least $2 million in 2019 and experienced three years of growth.

Holmes recently retired from service as Commander, Air Combat Command, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia and was responsible for organizing, training, equipping, and maintaining combat-ready air, space, cyber, and intelligence forces for rapid employment while ensuring strategic air defense forces were ready to respond any threat.
