As today is World Bee Day 🐝 🐝, I have to remember my former Lush Lifer Andrea Paternoster @mielithun. I just discovered that he was tragically killed in a car accident in April of this year. I met Andrea when I was eating my way throughout the Trentino region of Italy. His passion, enthusiasm, and love for every aspect of beekeeping and honey making was evident upon the first second of meeting him. He was a true master of his craft and you can taste it in every spoonful of Mieli Thun. He introduced me to the perfect Trentino breakfast - the best slice of bread with the best olive oil generously drizzled on top, and then many spoonfuls of his honey slathered on top of that.⠀ ⠀ After a life-changing honey tasting, he toasted us with his home brewed mead. I grabbed my microphone and he was thrilled to sit down with me to describe how he made this elixir in the Trentodoc style.
