Three weeks post-completion on our new build home, it’s starting to feel like home. Because it’s a new build, the heating is split into zones, each with their own control console, and I keep turning on the heating in the bedroom when I want it in the bathroom. He came and did a bunch of little jobs, like putting hooks on bathroom doors, hanging photos and pictures, and building some storage furniture in Flea’s bedroom. Flea is thrilled with all the little Ikea bits and bobs we’ve bought for her room, and it’s now just a sea of little pots and twinkly lights.

So when Citroen asked me to take their new Citroen C3 Aircross for a spin, I was intrigued to know whether the new-fangled Aircross could live up to my old car. Sitting in the car I notice the C3 Aircross has quite a high driving position for a smaller car. It’s also a slightly odd shape (I’m not sure if that’s a pro or con, but it’s shaped like one of those space ship controls that you’d push forward for full throttle in a space emergency). I think the new Citroen C3 Aircross maintains much of the fun and space that I loved about my very first C3.

First, there are the extrovert kids who love the school environment, who thrive on competition, and can mix easily in any new community. They’re the kids who are always selected for activities, teams, school roles and so on. They don’t want to compete with other kids – We’re the ones who annoy the teachers with our unreasonable requests for special treatment, even while we know it’s impossible to treat every child like an individual in a busy school packed with kids.

It’s Week One of owning our very first new build house I try to get another key cut, but because it’s a new build, the lock is also brand new. Apparently, it’s a very popular choice for new homes because it’s fast, and smooth. The house was finished just at the end of the building company’s financial year, and I feel like the decor was probably a bit rushed.
