2019 – Chameleon Integrated Services has been named one of the 2019 St. Louis Businesses of the Year by the Office of Mayor Lyda Krewson in recognition of Chameleon’s significant contributions to furthering economic development in the City of St. Louis. The award was presented by Mayor Krewson on October 11, 2019 at the 2019 Mayor’s Business Celebration Luncheon to recognize Chameleon’s contributions in revitalizing the Grand Center area. We have invested more than $5 million since we moved Chameleon’s headquarters to Grand Center through the acquisition and renovation of the Bronson House, the Barnett on Washington and the land for the adjacent Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.,” said Drew Acree, President of Chameleon Integrated Services. The Landmarks Association of St. Louis recently named the historic renovation of the Bronson House as a recipient of its ‘Most Enhanced Award’ in recognition of excellence in the restoration, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of St. Louis’ architectural heritage and for its transformational effect on the surrounding area.

Michael was originally hired as a Quality Assurance Manager, but he wanted to influence more than just quality on the program. As a prime example of how we help our employees prosper in their careers, Chameleon shifted Michael over to Service Desk Deputy Program Manager. This consolidation not only made more employees available to better staff the service desks’ core hours, but it also paved the way to how the agency now runs the support environment. As the Service Desk Deputy Program Manager, I now have more of an impact on training and technical solutions.

In the cyber security field, it can be challenging to determine what security tasks are best suited for humans and which tasks can be handled through automated software via AI. Going forward, we will need to measure the workforce’s connectedness to determine how remote environment can be managed from anywhere while still providing onsite-like connectedness. Going forward, we will need to establish KPIs (key performance indicators) so we can compare performance analytics to them and measure the ability to run government like a business. Finally, going forward we will need the cyber security workforce to document their activity and work as partners.
