natural living + travel blogger. vegan cookbook author. wanting to travel everywhere. growing + eating plants. I love dirt. I wear grey, but live in color.
I wanted to spend as little time as possible in the States, but with the new changes made to travel in the US, we decided to head out early before new rules were officially passed. I’m trying to stay calm, but I’m not going to lie, there’s an underlying sense of overwhelmed-ness looming overhead. The jungle made us tougher 😉 After being in two different countries for the last 11 months and finally making my way back here, well, I’m so very grateful to have spent this time away. even if you’re not sick, like you should be avoided, like you’re toxic, like your own body cant handle taking care of itself.
And posting because I wanted to share those passing snapshots in time and stories of small, but lovely moments I felt in my day and in my life. I’ll be honest, I truly loved working with companies that aligned with my life to create beautiful and unique content, but I think I’m just too far from that right now. And so, by recommendation of many of you and by putting all my personal overthinking and doubts aside, I’d like to mention that if you’ve ever felt helped by, supported by, inspired by, or connected to ohdeardrea and would like to support this place further, you can send a donation to this space. I knew I was unpacking our goods, making smoothies to soothe us over until dinner, then running across the way to borrow a processor from my neighbor, making carrot top pesto, grated radishes, cabbage, and carrots for kimchi, roasting cauliflower and sweet potato for salad, and Marlowe Paloma was by my side making an avocado mustard dressing and cassava dough of sorts for a yuca flatbread.
I’m grateful for how this platform has changed and shifted my life. But mostly, I’m grateful for my own growth throughout the years of existing with and within this space. A week or two ago I told myself that this date would be a good day to share the whats-happenings of my life. But today, I celebrate a ten-year transitory process of love, life, and growth.
Maybe it’s because we’ve been eating so many delicious fruits all day and cooking up some delicious feasts at night. Ate home sushi making party vs. sushi boat at Alex’s old restaurant party. Smokey roasted tomato vegetable soup Topped with roasted corn. the soup and Alex + Marlowe can enjoy the extraness of the corn.
