For my husband’s 40th birthday I surprised him with a trip to Colombia for 5 days. We decided on Cartagena for the beaches, balmy weather, history and food. Casa Lola in the neighborhood of Getsemani did not disappoint with it’s gorgeous rooftop pool, amazing service and location and beautiful interiors. We stayed at Paraiso de Mama Ruth, a cheap beachfront palapa hostel.

I would say that May is maybe my favorite month to have a wedding at London Town and Gardens, a beautiful venue just outside of Annapolis. The peonies are in full bloom and the gardens are bright shades of green brimming with azaleas, tulips and other spring flower varieties

Now that my 2017 wedding season has come to a close, I can focus some of my extra time blogging some of my beautiful weddings from this past year. I love shooting at Rixey Manor not only because the venue is fantastic, but I just love working with Isadora and Ben, the owners

If you’re looking for variety in your venue, then Maymont has you covered. With vast Italian and Japanese gardens, sprawling grounds and old mansions, there are plenty of locations to choose from for portraits and ceremony locations. Emily and Mike decided to get married in the Italian gardens, surrounded by so many of their friends and family. In the end I grew to love their crazy, close knit group of friends and had so much fun photographing all of them.
