2019 may be a new year and all, but obviously I’m still the same me, still wearing slip dresses and not keeping up with getting regular haircuts. haha

Well, well, well.

I know I might sound like a broken record here, but it’s hard to feel inspired to create content when you’re working with a platform (Instagram) who is literally working against small creators like myself. While other people are choosing to resolve the whole IG engagement drama by joining comment pods, engagement groups (which is basically one-step above buying followers/likes in my book), for the life of me, I JUST CAN’T DO IT. If you’re not too familiar with the blogging world and after reading that you’re like “WTF is going on? I really don’t want to be all negative & whiny, but if you see my content when you’re scrolling on your feed, please know that a like, comment, really anything goes such a long way & helps sustain this little passion project I created when I was 18 years old.

I wait for those times when I feel particularly inspired by something: an outfit I put together, a new brand I feel like talking about, life experiences, etc. So, with the cold weather finally arriving here + all, I found myself really inspired + ready to pull my winter favorites from the nether regions of my closet. In a world that is filled with fast-fashion (Zara, Forever 21, etc), I feel like it’s so easy to find yourself struggling when getting dressed. One of my all-time favorite fashion influences (who is no longer a blogger, but will always be in my heart lol) is Karla Deras, founder of one of my favorite fashion brands, The Line by K. Her style is so sexy, so chic and just hard to pinpoint.
