Most people are more productive in the morning, so we start with the highest priority task and work our way down. The “Weekly Task” area is designed for you to keep track of things you need to work on throughout the week.
In a year full of new challenges, one of the toughest that’s facing parents is the unique landscape of the 2020-2021 school year. In addition to those hours of teacher instruction, they’ll also have a couple of hours of workbook/homework time. The common theme was that even if you have the IDEAL situation (a co-parent at home who can assist with schooling, dedicated space set aside, all of the proper equipment/supplies), it is still EXTREMELY disruptive to normal life. ’s daughters expressed how bummed she was that she wouldn’t get to ride the bus this year; a time when she typically gets to play games and have fun with her peers.
That was a pretty standard work schedule for most of us: ~9 hours at the office with an extra 2-2.5hrs of time related to work (getting ready, commuting, etc.). We’ve gone from a typical 8-9 hour work day, to working (or having the option to work) 10-12 hours each day. A quick poll on LinkedIn we posted found that 2/3 of our responders take less than 4 breaks like this per day! We believe that the most effective breaks are fully separated from your workspace and detached from email or other electronic notifications.
Clearly there’s something therapeutic about organizing or reimagining a space in your home that has seemed messy in the past, which is why it has been such a popular activity for so many people in the last several months. Just remember to take it one drawer/closet/room at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed and you’ll achieve neatness nirvana in no time! While some of us have been braving the trails for the first time, others are simply taking advantage of the opportunity to explore new ones around the state. Some marveled at the energy and excitement they’ve experienced for some of the activities mentioned above, like exercise and outdoor time.
