Tech Tip: Use Outlook Rules to Automate Your Inbox

Once you set your conditions on which you want the rules to run, here are a few things you can do with those emails: Play A Different Sound: The standard Outlook email notification gets tuned out when you hear it enough. If you need to keep an email for record keeping purposes, but don’t need read it immediately (or even at all), you can automatically move it to a folder in Outlook so it does The Email: If you always forward a certain type of email to one of your contacts, you can set it up so that Outlook does it for you. You can also set exceptions to the rules, if necessary: Rules are insanely powerful and handy tools to keep your inbox clean (which is why I have over 35 rules on my inbox to tame the hundreds of messages I get daily).

So here is some Teams headlines, tips, and tricks for you: Meet Now Links and Sharing Meeting Links: Microsoft Teams will now let users share a “Meet Now” link without actually starting a meeting. If you have a website whose content you want to automatically pull into a Teams channel, see if the site has an RSS feed (use the checker here). If the site you’re looking at pulling has an RSS feed, you can pull its updated into a Microsoft Teams Channel. Tech Tip: Automatically Check Spelling Before You Send an Email in Outlook

So you should probably make sure the emails you have going to your clients are spell-checked before they’re sent. Now when you try to send an email and you’ve misspelled something, it will pop up a familiar spellcheck window: Click the various change or ignore options to tweak or correct accordingly. If you want to stop the process (as you noticed something the Spell Check isn’t catching), hit cancel and then click “ Note: Spell-checker is only going to pick up misspelled words, but it won’t pick up wrong words that are spelled right.
