I’ll feed Allie around 6:30 pm, then bathe her around 7:00 pm, then we play or cuddle, then I give her a bottle with oatmeal around 8:00 pm, and then I finally put her down to sleep in her crib. We recently lowered her crib, and thank goodness we did because I have found her standing up in her crib the past few mornings. Allie loves to watch LPB in the morning and enjoys Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, Daniel the Tiger and Splash and Bubbles. We are also really eager to start doing more activities with Allie as she continues to develop and become easier to handle during outings.

My good friend Rebecca introduced me to making my own baby food, and I have to say it’s been easy and cost-effective. Allie is still quite lazy, but we’ve noticed so much development from her these past two months. I’ve been comparing her growth chart to mine as a baby and it’s extremely close. We are both extremely driven in our careers now, but it seems that we are most happy when we are able to spend time with Allie.

It has been a beautiful experience watching my daughter learn and grow these past five months and today I am sharing all the latest on my precious baby girl. This was an extremely tough decision, but I am amazingly proud of the hard work that I put towards breastfeeding during the first four months of Allie’s life. She’s a hungry little human! Allie loves to stand in her walker. She has mastered spoon feedings and we are hoping to start her on baby food after Christmas.

She definitely hasn’t mastered napping during the daytime, but I’m extremely thankful that she only wakes up once or twice a night (six hour stretches are the best). We love to call Allie nicknames like Noonie, Noonie Cat, Noonie Bug, Shoe Pie, and Sugar Baby. She’s definitely a daddy’s girl, and he tells me constantly that she’s absolutely perfect in his eyes. Some other favorites: listening to Baby Lullabies on Pandora Radio, bath time with daddy, mommy singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Cheek to Cheek, and car rides anywhere.
