You may have noticed that I’ve launched a “travel highlight” blog post at the end of every year since I started my first blog back in 2013. First and foremost, I found an amazing girl who I’ve spent the majority of the last year traveling with, sharing incredible moments, and having the best time of our lives together. I launched this new travel blog, drewbinsky.com, and transformed my original blog (Hungry Partier) into a something bigger – a millennial travel site focused on nightlife guides and travel tips (I’m currently looking for writers so please contact me if interested). My favorite experience in Malta was taking a day boat around the historic parts of the island, and seeing the breathtaking views from the outside looking in.
I’ve been to 153 countries since 2012, and I work as a full-time video maker, travel blogger and content creator with 1.7M+ social media followers and 400M+ video views. After 3 years of hard work and patience, I grew The Hungry Partier to 150K+ monthly readers and I had about 100K+ social media followers. When I left Korea (Feb 2015), I set off to travel the world full-time, leveraging my blog and social media following to attract sponsors, which helped reduce my travel costs and keep me going. Over the last few years, I’ve gone on a 3 month solo backpacking trip in India, visited every country in Central/Eastern Europe, played golf in 19+ countries, visited Antarctica, had an inspiring trip through the Middle East including a 14 day trip to Iran, traveled all over Southeast Asia & the Pacific islands and I’ve lived in Hanoi, Manila and now I’m currently living in Bangkok.
The content on drewbinsky.com will focus on a few categories: • Social Media Advice (tips for how I’ve gained 200K+ followers, how-to guides, etc.) I have decided to turn The Hungry Partier into a communal site, with dozens of regular contributors, focused on providing the best nightlife guides around the world. I have previously published about 20 nightlife guides in various cities around the world from my own partying experiences, and many of these posts (including the Seoul and Prague nightlife guides) are the most viewed articles I’ve ever written. For all the other blog posts I’ve written on The Hungry Partier — they will remain the same.
But now, after visiting Bangkok 5 more times, I’ve realized that this city has everything I could possibly want, and it’s one of the most affordable big cities to live in the world. Vietnam’s capital city, which may seem chaotic (there are more motorbikes than cars), actually has a laid back feel when you dive deeper into the culture. As Japan’s former capital city and center for historical culture and traditions, Kyoto is on this list for the amazing Buddhist temples and Zen gardens that left me speechless. It’s a very affordable city to live, eat, and work (amazing cafes)–
