The Best Homemade Double Cheese BunsI have to say I miss cheese buns almost but not quite as much as bagels.
To make The Best Homemade Double Cheese Buns, I used Provolone (medium/mild not spicy) and to be honest it is a fantastic cheese to cook with.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, yeast, salt, sugar, 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 grams), 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, then add a little at a time the warm water, mix with a fork just to combine.
(I use a folded tablecloth) and let rise in a draft free area for 1-2 hours (mine actually sat for 3 hours).Remove dough from bowl and on a lightly floured flat surface knead dough a couple of minutes, shape into 6-7 bun shapes, score with a knife and place on a lightly oiled parchment paper lined cookie sheet, cover and let rise for 1 hour.
