Classic Banana Bread

Classic Banana Bread, one of the Italian’s favourites, just how he likes it, no crumb topping, no frosting, nothing fancy! Lately I have been making desserts more to my liking, Cinnamon Apple Cheesecake, then to his. So he asked me the other day if I remembered that delicious banana bread I used to make?  “Remember, just bananas, look we even have some in the fruit bowl”? I have a husband who in the morning has a big mug of caffè latte and he dunks anything and pretty well everything in it

The Best Homemade Double Cheese Buns

The Best Homemade Double Cheese BunsI have to say I miss cheese buns almost but not quite as much as bagels. To make The Best Homemade Double Cheese  Buns, I used Provolone (medium/mild not spicy) and to be honest it is a fantastic cheese to cook with. In a medium bowl whisk together flour, yeast, salt, sugar, 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 grams), 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, then add a little at a time the warm water, mix with a fork just to combine. (I use a folded tablecloth) and let rise in a draft free area for 1-2 hours (mine actually sat for 3 hours).Remove dough from bowl and on a lightly floured flat surface knead dough a couple of minutes, shape into 6-7 bun shapes, score with a knife and place on a lightly oiled parchment paper lined cookie sheet, cover and let rise for 1 hour.
