There are days, quite a lot of them, when I don’t feel like the adult in this Momma Bear, Baby Bear scenario. And I remember desperately needing a hug from my Mum and getting it because she would always down tools and squeeze me back no matter what she was doing. Getting to know Momma Bear is almost like a cousin you’ve only met twice, who comes to stay for a long weekend except they don’t go home. The old me was buried somewhere, hidden but not fully lost as I said Hello to this new Mum, getting to know her, getting to know me.

Not Just A Princess : Giveaway

Fellow blogger and Dad to Jade, Gavin Leonard, aka Not Just a Princess, has launched a beautiful box set of six books telling the tales of Jade and the Princess who steps outside the castle. Although I’m not necessarily against the Princess genre, I do think that the stereotype we are unknowingly projecting onto young girls can be very damaging. Better still Gavin has given me a Not Just A Princess box set to giveaway! I’m chuffed that Gavin has given me a Not Just a Princess set for one of my readers.

Dublin Comic Con with Kids

Dublin Comic Con started back in 2013 and Little Miss was bundled up in my belly when we went to that very first convention. Last year we started bringing Little Miss with us and this year she was counting the days down to the Spring Edition. ** First of all, Dublin Comic Con, now hold two events: A Spring Edition in March and a Summer Edition in August. We decided to check out the Spring Edition this year considering Little Miss was coming with us again, and the crowds were a little overwhelming for her last year in August.
