A couple of weeks ago I attended the first of hopefully many Lilly Pulitzer Luncheon and Fashion Shows at the Ocean House . I feel so blessed to live in New England. Pastel umbrellas were strung over the tables on the lawn. Everyone showed up in their Lilly best from classic shift dresses, ball gown skirts, to maxi dresses.

Last week Kiel and I headed to Nantucket for a magical evening with Goop and Ketel One Botanical for the Goop by the Sea clambake. The intimate dinner was hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and prepared by celebrity chef Curtis Stone. pretty to look at (garnished with edible flowers and fresh fruit) but so crisp and tasty. I received a lot of questions in my stories about the cocktail and the recipe for the Botanical Spritz is 1.5 oz of any botanical varietal and 3 oz of Soda Water.

Shared love of music and talk of beloved artists make for great conversation and really sets the atmosphere. Kiel and I have a small collection of our favorite records and it’s always a throwback to bring them along and marvel at the album covers. When evening sets in, before it’s time to head home, it’s always nice to take in a few quiet moments with a glass of wine and enjoy the beauty of the scene surrounding us.
