Reading Lately

I didn’t really love Bri’s personality for most of the book (she redeemed herself at the end) and I wasn’t as emotionally invested as I was with THUG. I don’t know why Im so nostalgic for this era that I wasn’t even born for, but just as the movie Bohemian Rhapsody (about Freddie Mercury and Queen) got to me, this book really had me in my feels. I love a good psychological thriller and I haven’t read nearly enough for the year since I was doing reading challenges. I do think a lot got lost in the translation from French to English and as a result I didn’t love the writing so much, but the story was cute anyway.

The Kay Times

I remember our parents faces, my girls crying, the threat of rain about to fall and me snapping to anyone who suggested we have in inside just in case that “its going to be outside so don’t ask me again”. I remember your face as I walked up the aisle and the peace that I felt as I knew it was the very first day of being a wife. In the last year we went on a spectacular mini-moon and honeymoon, travelled quite a bit, lay our roots in the Caribbean and will (hopefully) close on a house soon. While we were both very secure and complete beings before meeting (I think we were destined to marry in our 30’s), the sum of our parts have made for the best team and Ill be forever grateful that I married my Romanian prince.

Five nights at the Sandy Point Village Hotel Tobago

Instead we spent five nights at the Sandy Point Village hotel, a small hotel near to the airport. Sandy Point is a very small hotel on the ocean with suite like rooms. There are three types of rooms actually, seaside rooms (the doors open to the ocean basically), poolside rooms, and then more apartment type rooms with kitchenettes. We would totally stay at Sandy Point Village Hotel again for another budget friendly travel trip.

Reading Lately

I read a fair amount this past month. It was Carnival season here so everything was a lot less intense at work and since I also took a short vacation, I just had a lot of time to read
