I’m a former elementary teacher turned stay-at-home mom! As a mom to two energetic toddlers, I fully understand that life can be unpredictable and messy at times but to fully embrace the little moments!
I am passionate about connecting with stay-at-home moms to build a community of encouragement as a reminder that “Mom” isn’t our only identity. We can still pursue our own dreams as we help our children pursue theirs!
As an inspired leader, I’m excited to collaborate with brands to help them meet their goals within my community of amazing moms!

April 30, 2021 will mark 46 years since my grandparents and parents’ home country of Vietnam fell to communism and they fled the country in search for a safer place to raise their family. Grandpa was a General in the Vietnamese Army and knew that he had one last chance to get his family out of the country with the last airlift the Americans were doing for officers and their families a week before the country lost. I never want my children to feel scared to be their 100% selves or to feel like they can’t speak up for themselves when they feel like they’re being treated unfairly or that they aren’t represented properly. Yes, I did look young for my age and still look pretty young, but at the time, I was 26 years old, married, had a college degree and was working as a full-time teacher, but because I was Asian, they assumed I couldn’t speak English and that I wasn’t capable of taking care of my child.
When many of us look back at 2020, it’s hard for us to see anything but the negative experiences the year left for us, but if you really sit back and take a long, hard look at the year, there were actually some lessons that came out of the past year With the support of my husband, I walked away from my job outside of the home and followed my dream of being a stay-at-home, work-from-home mama. With the last year of grad school, working from home, two toddlers running around the house and making sure the house is cleaned and fully stocked with food… mama was exhausted by the end of the day! This year when I walked away from my “stable” jobs to pursue a life as a stay-at-home mama and start my own virtual assistant business, there was a lot of push back from those in my life
I’m a “bad mom…” We need to stop letting society’s idea of what being a good mom is effect the way we think about our own abilities as mamas! I’m going to be honest, there have been days when I felt like the worst mom in the world because I burnt the cookies or I raised my voice and had no patience. In the 3 years that I have been a mom {I’m still considering myself a newbie, I am in no way as experienced as those mamas who have been doing this for years, let alone decades!} We don’t have to be perfect, or the best at it, we just have to know that we’re growing and learning with each day that we have with our babies!
… you pop your airpods/headphones in and turn on some music and there’s that one song that comes on and all the emotions from the week or the day that you’ve kept inside just come pouring out. Mine’s currently on repeat as I sit in the dark typing this after what should’ve been a relaxing and stress-free week… I’ve held in emotions, and the lyrics to “ The second we lose it, it’s like we’re showing a weakness and that it’s not something that should be shown by someone who’s supposed to have it all together. … I cannot tell you how many times I’ve asked for grace as a mother and wife, but I’ve never allowed myself the grace.

Between one of us juggling the kids and the other behind the camera, there may be times when it seems like life has gotten away from us.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2020 has definitely helped us to slow down, schedule weekly dates {even if it’s just dinner and a movie at home} and appreciate each other for all that we do as we raise our young family!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wouldn’t trade our life together for anything in the world!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You have always believed in me and my dreams- no matter how big or crazy they may seem! I couldn’t be taking these next steps if it weren’t for you!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You encouraged me to apply to grad school. You encouraged me to follow my heart. "If we all could see the world through the eyes of a child, we would see the magic in everything." This past weekend we shared a moment with Bryan and Kennedy when we opened a package of Oreos. In that small moment, Tory and I not only shared a piece of our own childhoods with our babies, but we were able to share in a moment of theirs. As adults, we sometimes get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget to enjoy the little moments. We forget to look for the magic in everything. I hope that Bryan and Kennedy continue to see the amazing things this life has to offer and to enjoy all the moments they can no matter how big or small. "You're off to a great places, today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!" -Dr. Seuss Yesterday, was Bryan's first day of school...EVER! While it was completely the opposite of what I always imagined his first day of school would be... this year has been completely the opposite of what we imagined it would be! From the day we found out we were pregnant with Bryan we had dreams of what his future would look like. As a teacher, I dreamed about how we'd drop him off at his first day of school at the school I taught at and how he'd be such a big boy walking into his classroom. I imagined a cubby with his name on it which his teacher had taken the time to create for him. We'd see him sitting at his table as we walked away and sent him into the world of education... I never imagined that we would be homeschooling him. I never imagined that we would be living in a world where I felt safer teaching him from home than I did sending him to school. I never imagined I wouldn't be teaching anymore. It all goes to show that our plans for our lives are not as great as the plans God has for us. Our first day was a SUCCESS! We learned about the colors blue, red, green and orange! We also had PE with Daddy! Needless to say, by the end of the day little man was ready for bed! We're so excited about this new adventure we're on with him!
