If, after selecting and paying for one travel service, you book additional travel services for your trip or holiday via our company, you will NOT benefit from rights applying to packages under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. If, after selecting and paying for one travel service, you book additional travel services for your trip or holiday via our company, you will NOT benefit from rights applying to packages under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. However, if you book any additional travel services A) during the same visit to or contact with our company, B) during the same visit to our company’s booking website, or C) via links we provide not later than 24 hours after receiving the confirmation of the booking from our company, the travel services will become part of a linked travel arrangement. In that case, we have, as required by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, protection in place to refund your payments to us for services not performed because of our insolvency.

There are lots of Rest stops on route and a lot of driver reviver sites that offer complimentary coffee/tea to travellers and you just put a donation in the charity box. As it was getting dark stopped at one of the reviver sites to cook our dinner on the camping gas stove before continuing our journey. We had aimed to stop the night in Rockhampton, the steak capital of Australia, we arrived around 9pm, we stopped at a camping site, Southside Holiday Village. We even saw a few stingrays swimming around When we got back to the boat, it was lunch time again and whilst we were all enjoying it the turtle popped up to say hello next to our sailing boat.

I may sometimes be more than online, but this is not a like for like holiday, it’s a transaction and nothing more and I think I am worth that little more for that peace of mind, my knowledge, my care, my time and my contacts. Every booking I make, that customer is supporting me and my dream of running my own independent travel agency rather than supporting an online big supplier who will never show gratitude that your booking means something to them.

The resort is the only hotel in Mauritius to be on a private peninsula, which gives you a feeling of your own private island, with a large beach which gently slopes into the breathtaking turquoise coloured lagoon making it good for families. Deluxe Rooms offer breathtaking views of Pointe d’Esny’s turquoise lagoon, the beautiful île aux Aigrettes island or the majestic Lion mountain, as well as direct access to the beach. The resort has three restaurants offering something for everyone, Rendez-Vous, the main restaurant and where your day starts with a buffet breakfast with eggs and omelettes cooked to order whilst for lunch and dinner you will live the “local market experience” for lunch and supper, discovering a creative cuisine made from the freshest local ingredients and best imported foods. The hotel has its own catamaran which we were lucky to have to ourselves for the morning for a cruise over to Ile Aux Cerfs with time for snorkelling and a delicious BBQ lunch cooked on board before being dropped off at the island for an hour, this beautiful paradise island has stunning beaches, restaurants, shops and even a golf course and where you can walk between the two islands through a narrow channel.
