A reminder for all the mommies out there. Postpartum is hard. I am already frustrated with my bodies restrictions right now. I have to remind myself I just went through major surgery, surgery I didn’t plan for. It wasn’t expected it was a surprise. Moms, let’s me gentle with ourselves. Mama’s Hospital Bag Checklist! ⁣ ⁣ 1. Comfy Robe (mines from @theelephantorganics)⁣ 2.Stool softener on hand, yes the hospital could have some but I bring it anyways! That first one is not fun. ⁣ 3.@earthmamaorganics , all of it 🤣⁣ 4.Chapstick! Don’t forget this! For real with Blair my lips got SO DRY. It was awful! ⁣ 5.Phone charger⁣ 6. Comfortable sweat pants or pajamas, not jeans or anything like that. Nursing bras. Anything that’s going to make you feel more comfortable after birth. ⁣ 7. Nursing pillow (just makes life easier)⁣ ⁣ The hospital provides A LOT some people pack their own mesh underwear and pads. You are my rock♥️⁣ ⁣ You make me feel loved. Important. And most of all you make sure I’m resting while I’m suppose to. ⁣ ⁣ Most of you would think, well yeah he should be you’re ready to pop & on partial bed rest. ⁣ ⁣ We’ve been together over 5 years, our lives are busy and messy especially with a toddler, 2 dogs, and a baby on the way. ⁣ ⁣ He’s taken the time. ⁣ ⁣ Taken the time to pick our daughter up from school. ⁣ Taken the time to cook meals.⁣ Taken the time to go get me Ice cream because “I need it”⁣ Taken the time to instal a screen door because I asked & managed to clean up our back yard all while keeping a toddler entertained while I’m suppose to be resting. ⁣ Taken the time to pick up around the house. ⁣ ⁣ Did he have to do all this? No. Did he do it to make things easier on me, yes. ⁣ ⁣ We are a team, we usually split all these tasks. He works full time & I work from home. ⁣ ⁣ The end of this pregnancy hasn’t been entirely easy, and I just had to make sure he knows. You are seen, your actions are seen. 35 weeks 🌿 Our check up today went well, as of right now I don’t have preeclampsia 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I’m still on partial bed rest - since that seems to be helping, but blood pressure was better today then it has been & protein in my urine is lower! Yay yay! We got to have a peak at brother, first time since the anatomy scan and he’s in fact still a boy 🤣 VERY clearly. He was hiding his face so we didn’t get to see that, currently sitting breech & weighing in at whooping 5 pounds, so strange to me since his sister was BORN at 5.9lbs at 37 weeks. So this little dude is going to be bigger then his sissy.
