Happy festival season everyone! I absolutely love the energy that music festivals can bring to this time of year– the inspiring fashion, unique hair styles, and exhilarating music all wrapped into one creates the best atmosphere I have ever experienced. Last year was my first time attending Coachella, and I still get butterflies thinking about my memories from that weekend
That’s what they say in Nashville, right? It’s Presidents’ Day and I am spending my afternoon cozied up in my favorite coffee shop in Nashville, TN after spending the weekend with the my uncle and his family. After lots of baby laughs and cries, drool and the endless musical baby toys, I am giving myself time to sit here and let my mind wander before driving back to Columbus for a crazy week of work
It is time to stop hating the out of shape body that I currently feel trapped in. Fortunately, today begins a new series by ToneItUp called “Love Your Body”, and this couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. And if Tony Robbins is correct on that quote (which he is pretty much always right if you ask my uncle), then my life feels pretty dang full at the moment. And that is why, I am exactly where I need to be.
And I feel like that same concept applies to the new year– we should never feel restricted by the date or year to start something new. And let’s be honest, if we don’t start taking significant steps to where we want to be in 10-20 years in our twenties, then we aren’t going to actually accomplish the things our sixteen-year-old self daydreamt of. It had been a long work week, and I was reflecting on the things that I want to accomplish in my life, like I mentioned earlier, and when that was all going to happen. I want to learn to love the things that I can’t change, and make a conscious effort to improve the things that I don’t like.
