My Big List of Things I'm Going to Do in 2021

You can get it for $5.99 a month but all that does is play tv shows and old movies {with ads}. Try 24 New Recipes {and remember to link them here} {10 down, 14 to go!} Read {or Listen to} 12 New Books about Maine {or written by Maine Authors} I’ve Taken Off My Phone and onto The Blog: Get the Photos on My Phone Down to Less Than 1,000 {started the year with 2863 photos} We can’t really plant anything outside until May, so I figure working in the garden area, installing new garden beds and finishing the pruning around the property will keep us busy until it’s time to plant. I started working on a sweet little ornament this past week and with a little luck, I’ll have a finished one to show you next weekend.

With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way. On the agenda for today: Pack up orders and ship them on out Pull at least 50 bricks out of the garden area Don’t forget, you can stay up to date with the latest news by signing up for my newsletter HERE, or by following One Hundred Dollars a Month on Facebook, or Instagram. I'll be updating my #Etsy shop with Not a bad way to spend the day.

One Hundred Dollars a Month

The movie Maudie is based on the true story of folk artist Maud Lewis of Marshlltown, Novia Scotia. Maud was born with birth defects and later developed rheumatoid arthritis, which reduced her mobility later in life. and then after a short stint living with her Aunt, Maud eventually met, and married a local fish peddler, Everett Lewis. Without giving anymore of the story away, I want you to know this movie, Maudie, is BY FAR the best thing I’ve seen in a loooooong time.

I’ll admit, gardening in Maine in late March isn’t the most exciting thing I’ve ever done. But as the weather continues to teeter totter between freezing temps and the spring thaw, it’s getting us out of the house and into the yard, so that’s a good thing. Clearing garden beds of brush and trimming tree limbs are what we’ve been up to the past few days, and already we’re starting to see a big difference. Really all we need to do to get it into tip top shape is get out there and prune the trees, install a vegetable plot and add a fenced in area for Lucy and then maintain, maintain, maintain.
