The best part was I didn’t even have to hit the shops for DIY supplies Even if you feel like you have zero skills in the sewing department Raid your wardrobe to find something with nice wooden or tortoiseshell buttons that doesn’t actually need them… ie a cardigan because who actually buttons their cardigans up aside from your grandpa? !
My thrifted $6 Cheap Mondays were looking pretty slim shady so here’s how I gave them a new lease on life (always go a bit longer than you think because for some reason they always look way shorter after giving them the chop) Step 2 – Cut the inner seam of the jeans, leaving the decorative stitch on the front side Step 3 – Then cut up the front and back middle seams (usually a few inches) so when you fold the angled piece over it lays flat. Then sew the overlapped piece down onto the other side, right along the original stitching where the jeans were sewn together.
You’re excited when you get the invite, then mild panic sets in… .what will you wear to *insert fancy event here*? But you still want to bring your A-game and outdress the room.
They don’t call it Radelaide for nothing…this city has some sweet secondhand spots bursting at the seams with everything from vintage to designer pieces going for as little as $2! They sell women and men’s clothing, shoes, accessories, books, DVDs and bric-a-brac. They have an incredible ever-changing range of high-quality stock – mainly in the way of women’s clothing. However, they also have kid’s and men’s clothing, bric-a-brac, books, shoes, jewellery and random bits and bobs.
