Blog Tour - A Holiday to Remember

A Holiday to Remember by Susanne O’Leary My rating: 5 of 5 Stars A side-splittingly funny summer read about two best friends who decide to take a chance and travel the world, finding themselves – and finding love – along the way! Until a few weeks ago, Leanne was a thirty-something who lived with her mother. And yes, she still slept under her Barbie bedspread

Blog Tour - My Very Italian Holiday

My Big Greek Summer, I thought that I could only follow up by taking part in the blog tour for My Very Italian Holiday. The first one was that the instant love between Gina and Fabio didn’t seem realistic; especially considering her status as a widow – it just wouldn’t happen like that in real life. The second aspect of the novel that put me off was that it took exactly 50% of the story to get to Italy; seeing as the title is My Very ITALIAN Holiday, I assumed that the main narrative would’ve been introduced much earlier in the book. Overall, while I wouldn’t mark My Very Italian Holiday as my favourite novel, I did enjoy it as a Summer read.

Blog Tour - The Getaway Girls

From the bestselling author of The Runaway Wife, The Getaway Girls is a laugh-out-loud, life-affirming journey of friendship, romance and living life to the full. Now, I don’t know about you, but I loved the fact that these adventurous protagonists were all of advanced age, it is so rare to find in literature these days; it serves as a reminder that enjoying life and new experiences aren’t limited to one I was uncertain at first how I would get on with Connie, Maggie, and Gill at first; but as the story developed, it was a joy to spend time with these three and watch how they grew throughout the story. Overall, I really and truly enjoyed this novel; I couldn’t help but smile by the time I came to the last page.

Blog Tour - Happily Never After

I have a spare room in my new flat at Seymour House, but I’m not sure there’s room for both of you.’ Belle I just wish I hadn’t sold the house already; you could have stayed there. I want a house rather than a flat, and we can’t afford one that’s already done up round here on my wages. I won’t have time for amore; I’ll be too busy painting walls and laying carpet.’ Sheila was back on her favourite subject.
