We’re gearing up for a big trip to Washington this month to visit a good friend and explore the great PNW, Mount Rainier and Olympic included. I’m also happy to share that the new website I mentioned as a home for our adventure photography is almost ready. but I’ve merrily swashbuckled my way to a great big beautiful tomorrow in a single visit. I think it’s the prolonged duration of suspended disbelief that sets our minds at ease with the liberty to play and explore and dream.
With the recent arrival of Spring, I’ve still got flowers on the brain. Another wonderful area for them at Disneyland is at the base of the Matterhorn, where blooms spring above a bed of lush green grass. Light filters through the trees and over the mountain’s shoulder, creating some truly dynamic scenes. With the sound of the waterfall just ahead, it’s a respite hidden in plain sight.
The backside of the castle certainly bears resemblance to its inspiration, Neuschwanstein Castle. It makes me wonder if the primary reason Walt was okay with the top’s reversal was to give Disneyland’s I do maintain my position that the backside of the castle is severely under-appreciated. In support of my argument, I present you this lovely view.
