A Day in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Valparaiso, Chile

Coming from the sea, Valparaiso looks strewn with candy. Colors dance like forgotten rainbows across the 42 cerros (hills) that face the bay and that give this UNESCO World Heritage Site its charm

Explore Hobart Five Ways :: A Mini Travel Guide

Or join a pub tour of Hobart to regale in the city’s old stories at some choice drinking establishments in the city. Once you’ve soaked up the city’s history, seek out Gourmania Food Tours to learn about the local food and wine produce. This walking tour is a flavour-filled tasting tour of the food stalls and eateries around Salamanca Place and central Hobart. Par Avion Wilderness Tours offer 20 minute-long scenic helicopter flights above Hobart, or you can indulge yourself in a 30-minute plane tour above the city.

An Eco-friendly Family Trip to Marysville :: A Town Rebuilt from Ashes

Just over nine years ago, the worst bush fires in Australia’s history devastated the small town of Marysville, a scenic hideaway at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, only 90 minutes from Melbourne. It’s a small town with lots to do in the area so is perfect for a short visit, or longer if you’ve got time aplenty. The Black Spur is a 30 km section of road between Healesville and Marysville that is lined with towering Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus rengans), which, thankfully, escaped the bush fires. You can walk from the town centre, which is about 3.5km and would be beautiful on a good day, but when we visited it was pouring so we drove to the carpark and took the shorter 700 metre trail up to the viewing area instead.

8 Eco-Friendly Music Festivals for Green-Minded Revellers

The world’s biggest green field festival, Glastonbury brings in 175,000 attendees every year With the festival’s sponsor being EDP (Europe’s major electricity operators), it plays a critical role in EDP Cool Jazz’s reputation and mission by neutralizing the carbon impact. These principles guide LIB’s vision and its team’s decision-making every step of the way. With its free water, renewable energy and Green Team that educates their attendees on recycling, composting and keeping the grounds clean, the festival definitely takes care of any damage done to the Earth.
