It also gave me the opportunity to wear some of my favorite items that I’ve had sitting in my closet the past few weeks. With the expected rise in temperatures again this upcoming weekend I figured what better time than now than to share some staples I’ve recently added to my rotation that I’ll be wearing as Spring continues to sneak up on us. If you’ve been following along on instagram you’ll remember I stopped into the Mint + Major pop up at Hello Addie a couple weeks ago. Melissa, from Mint + Major, schooled me in the shoe department when I got them and helped me realize I needed to size up to avoid trying to push my feet forward in these mules.
After spending some time changing into our robes, Matt and I met in the co-ed waiting/relaxation room to settle in for a bit before our couples massage. After a couple minutes of settling we were greeted by two friendly Spa employees who let us know they would be giving us our massages that morning. We were taken to a serene room and in order to take full advantage of the relaxation I went and left my phone in the locker room. We were then taken back to the co-ed waiting/relaxation room where we were able to order some lunch.
Getting into my car, that’s parked in the garage, and it’s a nice 68 degrees on a negative day But other things like, not being able to walk down the street and eat a Thames Street Oyster House lobster roll, a basket of Red Star garlic fries or grab a Daily Grind cup of coffee has been tough. This weekend ritual is what I’m calling our new normal and it’s sometimes my favorite part of our weekend. And I know, as our house becomes more full of memories and overall stuff, I’ll cherish these images as a snapshot in time of how we began making a house into a home.
