Platform Scalability & Operational Excellence

Our wild growth in subscribers in 2019 caused some unforeseen challenges with the b-hive platform’s stability and scalability and this bled over into the customer support needs across our operations teams. The goal was to increase scalability by revamping the platform architecture from a shared cluster database model to a cloud first distributed data architecture with localized call processing clusters and independent application-specific databases. We updated the b-hive network from a clustered database architecture into independent data infrastructure based on data type and updated our call processing platform to be fully operable utilizing distributed read-only replica database infrastructure. We are hiring across all teams, designing a new organization structure that aligns with the customer journey, launching a partner success team, and deploying a self-service training model.
