However, due to contractual obligations with the US Army, many branches of the government can’t access the IVAS Hololens for their own evaluation and planning. The US Army has been extremely protective of the Hololens device wanting any IVAS advancements to roll out among their own elite forces first before going to other Army soldiers. Only after this second, broader stage of Army deployment will other government development/innovation teams get access to the hardware to see what it can do for their own troops. As with many in the conference, Shockoe believes there will be a surge of innovation once (a) a broad spectrum of national defense entities can access the highly modified Hololens for their own use cases and (b) developers from the military, Microsoft and/or third parties create solutions for how H2 will integrate with data at the edge.
Vishal Sagar, director of North American eCommerce for Harman suggested several strategies that we should be considering: Brands that had solid logistics and tight supply chain processes thrived during the heights of the pandemic. It’s imperative to have a strategy in place where your website, mobile, call center and social channels are working in harmony with your storefronts. While You Build Sagar noted that half of Harman’s customers are not brand loyal in the best seasons; therefore, it’s easy to lose a sale if inventory is lagging and estimated shipping times are deemed unacceptable. Knowing that improvements would take some time internally, Harmon leaned into Amazon to ensure customer service, logistics, fulfillment, and returns were handled effectively while they sure up their own systems.
For cross-platform technologies, you will need to wrap the SDK in a native module for use in your cross-platform framework (Flutter, React Native, etc.). The benefit of using the SDK is it provides a text field that allows you to handle interactions with the CardPointe API. As previously mentioned, the server-side will use the CardPointe Gateway API to take the card info, with the tokenized card data, passed from the client-side to authorize the payment. With the other data (last four, card type, expiration date) passed to our server-side application, this allows us to store this info and display the cards we have on file to the user.
The road to this decision is layered with cost considerations, the development lift, available expertise, and time to market and if the decision is made to change the tech stack, then an inevitably related decision is whether to build the new interface in its entirety for release or release new features as they are developed. For good reasons, we added Angular to the technology stack and decided to build from the group up but selectively and cautiously released new features while still supporting the existing application. Discussing the advantages and disadvantages of migrating an ASP.Net application to Angular is enough for its article but let’s say you want to be in the 44.3% of software engineers who use Angular for creating user interfaces Net due to vendor constraints, so ideally you’re looking for a way to release new features developed in Angular inside an ASP.Net application to gradually replace features until the entire application is rewritten in Angular.
