The view from The Penthouse at The Huntley is certainly one of LA’s most impressive. From the windows of this dramatic, modern yet beachy enclave, one can see from the ocean to The Getty and beyond
NBC offers this list of 11 Places to See Poppies That Are not Lake Elsinore including Malibu Creek State Park, Santa Catalina Island, the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Point Mugu State Park in Oxnard. The above image was our view while waiting in line to enter the parking lot at the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. There is a $10 fee to park in the lot and you must enter the park through the main entrance whether by car or foot. No dogs are allowed into the poppy fields (but you can hold them up in the parking lot and make it look like they were in the field for pictures).
There’s also countless Japanese inspired ice cream shops like Bae Little Tokyo on 2nd Street, Cauldron Ice Cream in Irvine, The Dolly Llama in DTLA and K-Town, The Moo Gelato in Huntington Beach, and Cold Rolled Ice Cream on Melrose. there’s a number of Japanese inspired businesses on Melrose Avenue, so we decided to create our own “Tokyo Day on Melrose Avenue”…starting at Crumbs & Whiskers Cat Cafe. The day ended at Cold Rolled Ice Cream where we got to watch the ice cream artisans create unique flavors and experiences for clientele. Each ice cream order is customized to the customer’s personal preference and prepared on a chilled stainless-steel plate cooled to -15 degrees Fahrenheit where the ice cream is formed right in front of your eyes through a skilled aeration process utilizing specialized tools, ingredients – and a little muscle.
