My outlet for all of the home-related DIY projects that consume my mind (which I always strive to complete on the cheap)!
It’s our home’s mothership. So, let’s just say that the living room is donning it’s little black dress in these pics, all cleaned up and ready for adult time. Normally, we’re okay with carpeting in a living room, but because the living room (and hence, the beige carpet) extends into the dining space (see pic below), we knew we needed to change it. So, that’s where the living room stands now.
So, a while back, I painted the room a bright color, built a pipe shelf and industrial toilet paper dispenser, and hung some art, which brought us here… So, on a whim, during one of Henry’s naps, I busted out the paint roller and some leftover paint and toned down the space with my FAVORITE grey tone ever (Driftwood Grey by Glidden). It never ceases to amaze me how just changing the color of a space can actually make it look more expensive… This little refresh really, REALLY goes a long way into making the space fit the vibe of our home so much better.
And not only that, they’d disconnected all of my photos that I’d hosted with them previously until I chose to do so. I looked back at previous post after previous post, my House Tour page, etc., and nearly all were missing photos. Since I’ve never attempted to monetize my blog, it didn’t make financial sense to spend that kind of money for photo hosting (especially now that I’m a SAHM), and I was sure not using that particular photo-hosting site anymore after they’d pulled that crapola. And that required me to REMEMBER exactly which photos I’d used in each post.
