I’m always shooting in there for one reason or another, so I feel a special connection to the hotel  (it’s where I had my GILT photoshoot, too! ). There’s also a dog named Carly that lives there, and she’s always outside with the doormen. It’s located in the heart of Boston – right off of Boylston and Newbury. There’s huge ballrooms in the hotel that are often being rented out for parties, weddings, and other huge events

Between my full-time job and different obligations with my blog, it’s been tough for me to take more than a few days at a time off the past couple of years. It’s  situated in a typical Haussman-style building from the 19th century right in the heart of Paris – just steps away from the Arc de Triomphe. It’s a bit of a workout, but any exercise is good exercise when you’re  drinking wine all day, right? At the very top of Montmartre is the Basilica du Sacré-Coeur, a Roman Catholic Basilica that sits on the highest point in all of Paris (aka the absolute best view of the city).

One of my most commonly asked questions is how I curl my hair – and that’s why I’m putting together this step by step tutorial. The rounded plate edges help create loose waves without creases so it’s perfect for straightening AND curling (and leaves your hair smooth and shiny.) Clamp about half-way down your hair (you don’t want it curly by your roots for this look) and flip the iron one full turn away from your face.
