5 Secret Tips to How An Event Planner Plans the Holidays

Some of our favorites include: – hosting a holiday afternoon tea at our house with a hired musician (and when Santa stops by, it’s a hit with the kids and adults alike! ) run to raise money for a charity (with a homemade warm hot chocolate bar afterwards as you tailgate) – planning a holiday alpine friends/family dinner with fondue pots (cheese and chocolate) and a sommelier or mixologist for tastings – hosting a children’s cookie decorating party (yes, invite the entire class and be prepared for a big cleanup) – coordinating an office gingerbread house building and decorating contest complete with carolers as they work and prizes afterwards If you’re going to plan something and need more ideas, don’t hesitate to contact us at michele@michelebutlerevents.com Again, it doesn’t have to be exact, but it’s good to know that after you’ve bought the amazing seafood from the local market, you may have to stop in the dollar store for a few decorations. If you’re planning an upcoming holiday event, wedding, mitzvah, or party in Central Florida and are in need of ideas and assistance, we’re here to help!

How to Have a Fall Wedding When It Doesn’t Feel Like Fall

Except…not when it’s still 90 degrees out, the only tree changing is the palm tree outside your window that needs it’s palm fronds cleaned up, and you still live in your flip flops. So cute cowboy boots may not feel right for a ceremony amongst palm trees, but it’s not to say you can’t pick and choose fun accessories that complement your theme. For pictures and the end of the evening, consider adding a white or cream knit scarf for your shoulders, a toss bouquet (if doing one) that is made of soft cotton balls and small pinecones (careful not to have it too pokey! ), and baskets of miniature pumpkin pies as a takeaway (okay, not a fashion tip, but still so much fun! ). If so and you’re looking for more simple, but elegant ways to incorporate a fall concept into your Orlando wedding or event, give me a call at (407) 365-4729 or email me at michele@michelebutlerevents.com and let’s brainstorm!

REAL WEDDING FEATURE: LIZ & PETER’S ROMANTIC SOIREE

Her and Peter wished for a church ceremony so not only was Rollins the perfect location – but pairing it with the pastor that baptized her as a child, married her sister and brother-in-law, and performed her parents vow renewal ceremony was simply the most meaningful ceremony they could have planned. Even though Liz had always envisioned an outdoor reception in a lush garden, this location provided the perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy the beauty of Florida and her dreams of a garden-like reception came true when the ballroom was transformed into a warm and romantic soiree. Memorable Surprise: Painter, Talia, from Canvas and Confetti who painted the scene of their wedding day When asked if Liz or Peter would change anything about their wedding Don’t stress the small stuff and try to get everything planned a few weeks before the wedding so that you aren’t having to make major decisions the last 2 weeks.
