My name is Pius, and my partner Bryan and I have created a kids chore chart that we’ve found to be super helpful for young kids to help teach them all about responsibilities around the home and making it really fun and exciting at the same time.
I have 2 kids, Emmie who is 6, and Pax who is 4, and the chore chart gets them excited to complete tasks around the house to earn stars, which leads to a reward at the end of the week. Sometimes it’s extra screen time, sometimes it’s a trip somewhere, sometimes it’s their favorite snack, but it teaches them responsibility backed by positive reinforcement.
I used to have to scold them, nag them, repeatedly, and that never really got me anywhere! But now, they’re actually excited to complete tasks like setting up the table, cleaning their rooms, putting away their toys, being helpful, and much more.
