My favorite trip to the mountains was with my sister Kate, when we embarked on a road trip from Denver to Aspen without any plans. Being a last minute trip, I booked a hotel on my Venture® card and we were off. The rest of our trip was filled with spur of the moment memories like game night at one of the local restaurants, tarot card readings from a local we met and plenty of shopping. Step inside the dome for a larger-than-life cooler bar serving up drinks and eats from local Denver restaurants, 360-degree projection of some of the world’s most captivating travel destinations and kid-friendly activities such as a balloon artist.

There was bridge that was particularly known as a popular suicide bridge in the winter when the water was shallow. A tour guide told me about it when I first arrived and every time I passed over it, I would look to see if anyone had washed up to the rocks or jumped that day. About 3 months of living in Stockholm, I realized I was becoming more depressed each day and started connecting with that bridge in a negative way. In a weird way, that bridge saved my life.

The festival was well executed, from the transportation pick-ups and drop-offs to the multi stage set ups and performance schedule. Mother nature did a splendid job at scorching Denver with high 90° days for all three days of the festival. The double decker viewing lounge was set up right next to the main stage with seating and electrical plugs. It will be popping up throughout Denver a few more times with fun activation to help you explore the fun things to do in our cities backyard: October 20th through the 21st in Cherry Creek.

If you are looking to host a pancake (or waffle) party, I have a few great tips that I saw at a Birch Bender's party that I have to share with you. The Birch Bender's mixes come in all different flavors so you can make a variety of options that are sweet and savory. Banana Paleo mix with a slice of banana in between two mini pancakes, drizzled with peanut. Since it is hard to cook while entertaining, grab a variety of Birch Bender's Toaster Waffles (found in the frozen section at Sprouts Farmers Market) and let the toaster or oven do the cooking.
