I’m still reading, and commenting occasionally, but as a shop owner, I’m not sure it’s the best place for me to be regularly participating anymore, and that’s a shame. We are also pre-ordering two candle collections, The Gemstone Collection, pt 1, and the third iteration of our Spring Collection.
I immediately craved Hundred Years Winter from the moment that Femme Fatale posted preview shots of their Narnia-inspired nail polish collection. It’s like Fyrinnae’s Witchcraft lipstick in nail polish form. It also reminds me quite a lot of Takko Nails’ Wanderlust, although that is a bit cooler toned in terms of the base– it’s a little greyer, a little less mauve. Anyway, it’s quite lovely, even though I found the formula a little fussier than I usually expect from Femme Fatale.
I placed the order specifically for the Gorgon lip gloss, but ended up grabbing a few shadow samples while I was there, too. In the tube, Gorgon looks like a dark, cool-toned purple with very strong aqua green shimmer. Ihuaivulu is a warm brown/tan shade with really lovely pink/mauve shimmer. It looks great blended out across the lid and up into the crease, and then reapplied over the center of the lid over a bit of glitter glue / Pixie Epoxy to make the glitter really stand out.
The first batch are some of the Exquisites, which are basically very sheer, chunkier multichromatic sparkles that look best layered over other colors, although I’ve worn them multiple times now over lighter shades just for some shimmer, and they look great that way, too. Beyond This World is a warm mid-tone brown/tan with strong pinkish mauve and blue shimmer. Probably the most popular product that Fyrinnae launched recently is Wizardry, a blackened eggplant liquid matte lipstick with intense blue shimmer. Color-wise, the brown base is a lot more apparent in this form, so it’s more of a brownish plum with more muted, but still apparent, blue shift.
