Lord, we do want to be wise off-spring of our children and every time I read scriptures like these Lord, it’s hard for me because having grown up the way I have Lord help us to be industrious as it says “Hands that don’t want to work make you poor, but hands that work hard bring wealth to you” Lord, we want to work hard and we know we need Your strength for that. , I plant lots of seeds, but when harvest time comes, I almost move onto the next thing without glorying in the harvest, so I pray for those today who may have that same story, they work, work work and once something comes to fruition instead of rejoicing it and settling there and pointing back to all the great things you have done, they move on quickly. Lord, it says that blessings are like crowns on the heads who do right, we need those blessings, we need that crown, we want to have your blessings, we want to do right, we want to accept your command, we want to be right with You.

We need to know Your thoughts Lord, we want to hear Your voice. Lord, we don’t want to stay stuck, we don’t want to grovel along, listening to the crazy voices of this world, instead, we want to listen to Your voice. So, You have personified this because so often, foolishness happens in the context of relationship and wisdom happens in the context of relationship too and so Lord, we pray today that You would bring us wise friends and if there are people in our lives who are whispering things that lead us astray or away from You. Lord, would you give us the discernment we need to separate from that person for a time to create some good boundaries and to realize what’s going on, because when there is foolishness being told, it often sounds very appealing, it sounds like the right thing, it seems like the right thing and yet it’s not the right thing.
