DIY Stenciled Concrete Floors: Laundry Room Update Part 1

The final step for this room was to pull up the linoleum and paint the concrete floor underneath. Using my 12” x 12” stencil, I slowly made my way around the room with white spray paint. The reason I used spray paint instead of a roller and porch/concrete paint is because I wanted the design to be faded in areas. I think this would still be an issue with a roller and paint, but because of the spray, I began to get strands of dried paint in the open parts of the stencil.

First Day and Last Day of School Questionnaire (free printables)

I’m a big fan of the obligatory first day of school photo, but I wanted to take it one step further this year and create a questionnaire for the kids to fill out on their first day, and another to fill out on their last day of school. The 8.5×11″ first day of school questionnaire printable includes questions like how old they are, what grade they entering, what they want to be when they grow up, their teacher, and some details about the year ahead. My daughter always requires some extra confidence at the start of the school year, so I also included a section where kids can fill in their strengths; what subject they are good at, what they are going to try really hard at this year, and what about them makes them a good friend. I love tucking my School Years Memory Book and all the extra papers and projects I save from my kids into their wooden keepsake boxes, too!

How to Create Canvas Wall Art from Digital Photos

So when Canvas on the Cheap reached out to me to try out their photo canvases, I jumped at the chance; it had been a while since I had added any new photo canvas wall art. I wanted to create more of an art piece with this canvas, so I decided to create two split photo collage canvases. I have seen this done a few different ways, usually a square photo is split into 4’s or a 4×6 photo is split into three tall canvases. Choose the first option “Ducks in a Row” with 2 images (you can obviously choose your collage layout appropriately if you plan on doing 3 or 4 split photo canvases instead of 2): 3.
