This contemporary urban, romantically-styled wedding was just so much fun and so different to other weddings I’ve shot. They had their first date here, the question was asked, YES was said and vows were made all at the same restaurant, The Village Table. , the tears, the love and the words of affirmation and life’s paths they’ve travelled. Crystal Barn in the KZN midlands, never fails to deliver even when the blue skies disappear and the hail falls from the grey sky. Alex & Jack had the best day ever, this I know, because so did I! ! Adrenaline carried us all through, I didn’t even feel the cold stones when I walked around bare foot after squelching through a puddle of mud. Thank you Alex and Jack for trusting me and for forgiving me for making you walk in a little bit of rain at Crystal Barn🙂

Gosh, where do I even begin with sharing this special wedding at Crystal Barn, in the KZN Midlands with you? It was a day about love, celebrating my anniversary with my husband and supporting one of my best friends on her wedding day. Brad hardly showed any signs of nervousness and smiled the biggest smile I’ve ever seen him smile – for the whole day. Yip, it reads like a movie script and it pretty much played out like one too.

A day filled with friends and family who had travelled from far to be with them as they said their vows to each other and to share in the love. Mike’s favourite nephew, the handsome little page boy, showered him with love with the biggest smile after the ceremony. It added an extra bit of warmth and love to these two, who apparently weren’t really a fan of the camera and they didn’t want lots of photos or to be away from their guests for too long. Well I can safely say I din’t keep them away from their guests as we finished a head of schedule, but I have ended up with loads of gorgeous photos which I hope capture their love.
