Inspiration and information about a fresh quick and loose approach for watercolor. My daily sketches, my Urban Sketcher work… Useful links, tips & demos.
😅 😂 😜 ) I offer 2 videos a week on average : Sketchbook Tutorials, Watercolor Demos, Casual VLOG and Journaling sharing and more. 😃 Feel free to watch the video below to know everything about why I created a Patreon page and what it is if you don’t know about it. I also talk about topics like building a community, making money as an artist, Social Media, my personal art journey… Wouldn’t it be crazy that I would write down your name in my Sketchbook? ! There is a real time demo of me painting this lilac watercolor available out here on Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/FollowingTheWhiteRabbit (for free 😊 ).
Some people told me they didn’t really know how to find the videos on their own, and how to to get notified about them and everything – and that’s essential, as I made quite a lot of videos in addition to these ones : about the color choices for my watercolor palette, sketchbook tours, watercolor demos, a lot of good stuff! ! So here is a quick how to, in order to subscribe to the channel and getting notified for the videos. 😀 👍 ❖ Last thing, if you are not sure how YouTube will notify you and want to be sure to get the info the way you want, follow this link and choose whatever option you prefer, like on the capture below. There are two videos about the sketchbook making and one video about how to choose the right size and orientation (portrait or landscape) for your sketchbook.
I try to convey a special atmosphere for each video and to share the workshop teaching as well as what it’s like to be hundreds of sketchers in the streets. The second one from the series show the instructors sketching in the morning, before the workshops begin : Liz Steel, Stephanie Bower and Marc Taro Holmes are painting the famous Chicago Theater. All along the video, I browse my sketchbook for you, sharing my drawings and sketches done with every media and tools : watercolor but also ink, pencils, gouache ! I chose a black and white vintage rendering for this video, I thought it was quite fun and relevant with the inky atmosphere of the workshop.
And I am REALLY happy that I at last managed to start working on the video shots I took during the Urban Sketchers Symposium last July in Chicago. 🎨 😎 Yes, time flies but, even a few months later, that’s a real pleasure to enjoy the atmosphere of the Symposium with the sketchers everywhere, the interesting workshops, the warmth of summer, and the craziness of Chicago! ! This fist video sets the atmosphere and features Suhita Shirodkar workshop about people sketching with a gestural and line of action approach. I am also going to keep working on the videos so feel free to check the YouTube channel from time to time or to subscribe with the notifications if you don’t want to miss it.
