How you can, and really SHOULD leave a toxic boss

New boss new role, new people and more importantly, new atmosphere, which is amazing by the way. You expect all work environments to be riddled with anxiety, the stomach twisting fear of even getting out of bed to go to work. You’ve used more sick days over anxiety than actual sickness, which in turn, gives you more anxiety about using sick days What high levels of cortisol can do on the body and mind, the direct effects from stress and anxiety to health, well being, state of mind and mental state

Your virtual village

We have home school mommas, hippie-dippy mommas, career mommas, SAHM, Business for self mommas, single moms, moms of multiples, moms of one, When another Momma had her 2nd baby and complications had her in Children’s hospital, with unanswered questions about her baby, tests, living out of the hospital, having to support her baby, not work, but also help with her eldest child….We were there again. They can be the best fucking thing for new moms, scared moms, hopeless and nowhere to turn moms. I asked my Mom group if they could tell me 1 thing they love or appreciate about our group, and I will share with you some of them, but there is ONE big commonality between everyone’s answers, and it boils down to acceptance and love.

The 'M' Word: Miscarriage

Her birth month, the delivery, the idea of that little one, to be in her arms in a few month’s time was the realist and most beautiful thing a woman can experience. The very first time I got pregnant, I was aware for all of 4-5 days before I lost it. I’m a Mommy to 2 beautiful girls who also works full time and believe it or not, go to school part time. I was pregnant with my second, I knew I wanted a home water birth, right from the start.

How to prepare for a home water birth

It was one of the most rewarding, powerful and most beautiful experiences I have ever had, giving birth at home, in water, but it is not a simple, let’s hop in the bath and have a baby. My girlfriend in Alberta had the option of having a water birth at a birthing center, as she didn’t feel comfortable giving birth at home due to her proximity to a hospital. Ramping up to labour, I would have to clean the bath daily and we have jets in ours, so even if I did clean it daily, I wasn’t confident that there wouldn’t be grim or dirty coming in from the water lines of the jacuzzi, so I actually didn’t even consider our bath. In my research I did notice that the hard pools had the option more of having a heater built in that you set the temperature so you wouldn’t have to worry about getting someone to boil the kettle and add hot water continuously (although my labour was so fast I didn’t need, the water stayed very hot for me)
