The US Open is a huge event for us, therefore myself and a great group of co-workers got to go to NYC for 6 days to take in all the sites and see some amazing tennis (and go to a few meetings). I arrived on Thursday and went to the US Open on Thursday night with a great friend from NY Some other trip highlights included eating an authentic NY slice of pizza, shopping in Brooklyn, taking the subway, visiting Bryant Park and Grand Central Station, seeing Times Square, and took lots of cabs and did a lot of walking! Monday we had a few more meetings and then got to sit in the President's Box with my co-workers to see the Federer/Isner match which was incredible.
I just love organizing and re-arranging fresh for the new school year! I had to visit Nebraska for a very quick trip a few weeks ago and ever since I have felt behind and lagging. So this last weekend I attacked every little nook and cranny in our home and re-organized. I cleaned out the kiddos closet and took everything out-grown to the local Goodwill, cleaned and wiped out the pantry, and re-organized the linen closet and bathrooms.
We ordered new counter-tops from Home Depot. We are at Home Depot already, let's buy a new fridge too. Spray-paint hinges because no one makes the same size anymore and there is no way that I am going to fill all those cabinet door holes and rework the cabinet doors. Counter-tops template and install delayed because of the oven back order.
I strongly considered it as a major in college, but all the science courses were a little much for me so my dad told me something when I was changing majors: "you can always see whales and dolphins in the wild. I went on the Alaska boat cruise and they ALWAYS see whales on the boat. Within 30 minutes we saw a pod of whales and then we saw another pod a few hours later. Paetyn was totally into it and then after the 20th whale, Maddux started to think "you've see 20 whales, you've been them all.
