By now you’re pretty much out of excuses if you haven’t seen the Girls Trip movie yet. There have been several and with another one on the horizon, I figured what better time to share my do’s and don’t’s for the perfect girls trip with your posse. Do’s and Don’ts for making the most of your getaway with the squad for your next girls trip. It use to be that bobby pins were discreetly tucked away holding your look in tack but as of late they have taken center stage. The bobby-pins-as-accessory trend first caught our attention a few years ago when Rihanna donned the look at the American Music Awards. Playing with the bobby pins in different colors and finishes makes it feel less basic than regular old bobby pins. I’ve also been wearing the bobby pin look to spruce up my ponytail and help conceal bad hair days.
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of being a part of Amazon Live’s Fashion and Beauty show, Style Code Live, talking about one of my favorite things- shoes and more shoes! ! ! When the folks over at Amazon Fashion’s Style Code Live asked me to be a part of new segment they were doing, SCL+, to talk all things shoes it was a no brainer for me. The cool thing about Style Code Live and the SCL+ segment I did to kick off the nightly show is that 1- it’s Live and Since we were talking all things shoes, you could purchase both mine and Dimpy’s shoes as well as the featured bloggers while you watched the show.
Have I ever told you kuties that Easter is my holiday ( that and Thanksgiving ) but Easter takes me back to my childhood in the south when lots of planning, preparation and pomps and circumstances went into the special day. I remember rehearsing and memorizing scriptures and special poems to perform in church on the big day. Let me tell you something, Easter Sunday style took Sunday Best to another level. When I tell you the adults made a big deal out of the occasion while us kids had the most fun demolishing our Easter baskets and hanging out at Easter egg hunts.
