Gary Winkler, American Cyber’s President, was invited to join the Association’s Leadership Council which is comprised of a select group of small business leaders from a wide array of industries throughout the country who work to ensure the needs of small businesses are addressed when shaping legislation and policies. In addition to the Leadership Council, Winkler will be a member of the Small Business Technology Council (SBTC). This council focuses on educating members, government officials and large companies relative to the value and significance of small business participation, which is often responsible for cutting edge technologies. “Membership in the NSBA and participation in the Leadership and Technology Councils is an excellent opportunity to ensure that the federal government understands the role of small business in the nation’s economy and incorporates our concerns when developing and voting on legislation and reforms,” explains Winkler.
For a second consecutive year, American Cyber, a government information technology solutions and services provider in Clifton, Va., has been recognized by Washington Technology Magazine as one of the top 50 small business contractors in the government technology market. Fast 50 is an annual awards and recognition list that recognizes successful companies that have undergone extraordinary growth in the past 5 years. Washington Technology ranks companies using a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) that is calculated by revenue history over a 5-year period, and also looks at company information including business capabilities, major customers and major contracts. “Since it is based on compound annual growth, making this prestigious list becomes significantly more challenging as the company grows larger”, explains President Gary Winkler.
